graikų-romėnų imtynės statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Sportinė imtynininkų dvikova naudojant įvairius rankų ir liemens judesius, veiksmus, jų derinius. Draudžiama griebti varžovą žemiau juosmens, kišti jam koją. Graikų-romėnų imtynės pradėtos kultivuoti XVIII a. Prancūzijoje, todėl iš pradžių buvo vadinamos prancūziškosiomis. Nuo 1869 m. paplito Anglijoje. Į olimpinių žaidynių programą įtrauktos nuo 1896 m. Europos čempionatai rengiami nuo 1898 m., pasaulio – nuo 1904 m. Lietuvoje kultivuojamos nuo 1924 m. atitikmenys: angl.
